A great piece of British cinematic history is up for sale and it's the remote farmhouse made famous in the cult UK film Withnail and I.
The very isolated Sleddale Hall, near Shap, Cumbria, is being sold by the company that owns it for a guide price of more than £145,000.
The farmhouse featured in the countryside scenes in the famous 1987 comedy film which starred actors Richard E Grant and Paul McGann as out of work (un-hireable) actors.
The pair escape their nothing lives in the smog of London for a weekend in the country at Withnail's "Uncle Monty's cottage" and we all know how that panned out.
The farmhouse itself is almost two miles from the nearest public road and a mile from the nearest inhabited house and we know what the local pub is like!
